TRANSPORTING ELECTRICAL GENERATORS AND TRANSFORMERS
Transporting Electrical Transformers and presents unique challenges. The health of the transformer is critically dependent on safe and careful handling during transport and unloading to it’s foundation where sudden impacts or shocks can lead to damage of critical components. This becomes even more important when the final location, usually a substation, is in a remote area where the quality of the road’s surface is questionable.
Transformers are super heavy and expensive pieces of equipment. Before any transformer is loaded onto one of GKT’s trailers, GKT will have a comprehensive plan in place to ensure the safe movement of the cargo and delivery to its destination.
